Abstract

In an era of rapid development of digital technology, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has become one of the most innovative tools in the culinary field. Augmented Reality is a form of technology that combines the virtual world with the real world. Javanesia is an application developed using Augmented Reality technology as a media for introducing typica food of East Java with Android Based. The aim is to provide knowledge to the general public as a consumer, about any special food originating from the eastern Java region in a more interesting, realistic, interactive, and informative way, as well as participate in the efforts to preserve and introduce the typical oriental East Java food to the wider community so as not to be extinct by the influence of the globalization of foreign food culture. The application uses a 3D model of typical east Java food made with Blender software and implemented the concept of base tracking markers that use a medium of markers as a marker to display 3D models. The application development method is made using the method of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) waterfall model and Unity3D software as a tool for the creation of applications. In other words, this research produces an augmented reality application as a medium of introduction of typical foods in Eastern Java that is useful to provide education to the general public about what kind of food originates from the eastern Java region in a more interesting, realistic, interactive, and informative.
